SF Thanksgiving Potluck & Lecture by Author Erik Marcus, Saturday, November 13.
Socializing & Appetizers: 6:00p.m., Dining: 6:30p.m., Lecture (Free): 7:30 p.m.
Location: IOA
$1 suggested donation for members, their guests, and students bringing food; $2 for non-members bringing food (add $7 to each without food). Thanksgiving recipes encouraged. Prize for the best TG recipe. See Potluck Guidelines for potluck protocol.
Following the potluck, there will be a lecture by Erik Marcus discussing his most recent vegan book, Meat Market: Animals, Ethics and Money, an up to date expose on the horrors of the food-animal industry but with alternative strategies and hope! Book signing will follow his lecture. Erik is one of America’s leading writers on animal agriculture, having been published in many mainstream magazines. He is also the publisher of Vegan.com and a previous book on Vegan Ethics. |
